The Sunnybank Hills Food Court marks a major milestone in the centre’s redevelopment, enhancing functionality, ambiance, and capacity. The project focused on refining the layout to separate public areas from service spaces while improving the patron experience. Our redesign introduced natural light through two key interventions. First, we reinstated large skylights previously covered in past works. Second, we reconfigured tenancy layouts, increasing tenancies and extending the central dining area to the external wall. By replacing precast concrete panels with a 5-meter-high glazed wall, the space was transformed, flooding it with natural light and creating a vibrant, welcoming destination. The result is a revitalized food court with a modern, light-filled ambiance that attracts patrons to enjoy its inviting atmosphere.
